Miss Wendy

Owner, Founder and Principal

Wendy has been dancing from the age of 3, starting with Ballet, then adding Tap, Modern and Jazz to her vocabulary. She took all grades and vocational exams with the RAD and ISTD.
Aged 21, Wendy's dance teacher suggested she takes on a teaching role, and to her surprise, she enjoyed it so much that she decided to enrol on the teacher training programmes in all genres, completed her teaching qualifications, and set up her own dance school, originally known as the 'Wendy Burke School of Dance'.
Wendy has now been teaching for over 30 years and has also mentored trainee teachers for the Royal Academy of Dance with great success.
Wendy loves to see young people progress and have the confidence to take on new ventures with their dancing, and now she has a very capable team of teachers within the school, Wendy can focus on 1-2-1 coaching and mentoring with our more mature dancers, as they develop and take their next steps towards their career.
