Street Dance at GDA

This high energy, fun and exciting style of dance has all the students bouncing!

Street dates way back, originating on 'the streets' and inspiring many dancers and choreographers over the decades. The street style has evolved into an incredible, expressive art form with so many styles under the 'street' umbrella, of which all are extremely popular!

Which class should I choose?

Little Cheeky Cherubs - For children aged 1-2yrs, this class takes place during the daytime and parents are invited to join in

Cheeky Cherubs - For children aged 3-6 years, this class takes place during the daytime and parents are invited to join in

Street Kidz - For children aged 6+

Adult Street - For Adults of all ages and abilities

Classes are not just based just on age, but also previous experience and individual ability.

For new students - If you are unsure which class to select then please contact us for info, where you can be temporarily placed for assessment.

For existing students - Please select the class you were most recently in unless you have invited to move to a different class by Miss Wendy.

What do I wear?

If you are new to class, then please arrive dressed in clothing that you can move freely in, e.g., Leggings and a T-shirt. Bare feet are acceptable, hair must be secured away from the face. Please also bring water.

Uniform must be worn in classes (with the exception of Adult Classes) after your trial ends, which can be purchased from our online store or our on-site dance shop.  This consists of GDA branded crop top, vest top or t-shirt, and GDA branded jogging bottoms or leggings. We ask that clean trainers are worn, ideally you would have a 'studio pair' which are not worn outside and are used only for your dance class, this is to avoid damaging our specialist, dance studio flooring.
